Biz: The Bot That Won't Shut Up

AOLIZA ISN'T THE only chatbot lurking on America Online's instant messaging service.

Another "conversation simulator" called BizzaroKiehl, or Biz for short, is gaining a following among AIM users, thanks to the utterly unpredictable things it says.

Run by Tom Kiehl, a computer scientist at General Electric's R&D lab in upstate New York, Biz converses with up 30 people at a time while it's logged on.
