A Conversational Agent for Multilingual Mobile Information Access. The CAMMIA project is focused on research and development of a multi-tasking dialog management system that can be used with automatic speech recognition (ASR) and VoiceXML to provide mobile information access. Our goal is a system that can smoothly handle multiple dialogs in parallel as the user explores different parts of the information space in real-time. For example, the user may interrupt with the system to retrieve auxiliary information (e.g., parking locations at a destination) while a primary task is already undersay (e.g., navigation to a selected destination).
